KFHox, a Bronxite by way of Rhode Island and Florida, is a singer, writer, and actor. In the month of April 2011, she successfully raised $5,155 in 32 days through Kickstarter to record her first EP, “Light Shines Through Me.” On November 11, 2011, she single-handledly organized her EP Release Party at Remedies in the Bronx featuring over ten local artists and several local businesses as sponsors all while living out of her car. She used every cent that she had made and every dollar that was donated to mix, master, and print her completed CD package.

The lyrics of all 3 songs on the EP are written by Hoxie, who also executive produced the whole EP The songs are produced by the major up and coming musical dynamic duo Theron “T-ron” Lewis & Chris Campbell of InvaderZ Music Group, LLC,, Breyone King, and the super producer of G Clef Productions, “GI Joe.” KFHox has released a video for her song that she wrote to her song produced by “GI Joe,” “Screaming to be Free.” The video is directed by Rodolfo Duran, assisted by Sha-la Hollis, of DoneRightDigital.com and has about 54,000 views currently. Hoxie released the reggae remix of the song, which she recorded and mixed at Tuff Gong Studio in Kingston, Jamaica under the musical direction of legendary producer, Clive Hunt. The music video for the original song was most recently placed on Vevo.

Although this was the first debut of her own music video, Hoxie can also be seen in Kanye West’s controversial music video for “Monster,” featuring Jay-Z, Rick Ross, & Nicki Minaj. Hoxie has IMDb credits for work on shows such as How to Make it in America, Boardwalk Empire, Law & Order SVU, Nurse Jackie, and Blue Bloods, as well as films, including Mr. Popper’s Penguins and Man on a Ledge.

Hoxie has been writing for about 15 years. Most of her writing is lyrics, but she also has expanded into blogging. Her blog, “What Happens While You’re Busy Making Other Plans,” covers all aspects of her life and she hopes to be able to inspire and reach out to others through her blog. She has also served as chief blogger for whatshotinhiphop, com.

Hoxie does her best to be a positive voice and role model. Everything that she does, she keeps in mind that someone is watching. It helps her make better decisions knowing that her choices will not only impact her, but others, as well. Hoxie’s mission in life is to do the most amount of good with her time here on earth. Music is her vehicle to do just that. Stay tuned to watch the flight of this young lady who is finally living out her destiny. KFHox is going to shed some light in a very dark world. Her first stop in doing so is in the Bronx, where Hoxie has recently been developing a business strategy to help local artists and businesses create a united front. Hoxie believes we can all do much more together than we can on our own. She wants to leave her mark on the world by breaking down the walls that exist between people, finding common ground through compassion, understanding, and music. Kathryn F. Hoxie is quoted as saying, “I don’t make wishes anymore. I just make it happen.” Watch her as she makes it happen.
